Ballpark figure for UPVC windows

Been looking at a property that needs going through, and doing some sums for how much needs spending before it gets snapped up. It needs new windows and doors at the front, the front bay cladding, upstairs windows at the back, and thinking to open up at the back, take the return off the bay window wall, so it can be brought straight across with a window and french doors combination panel to let more light in and make the most of the view . Im sure there will be someone in the know on here who can give me an rough idea of cost

There are many web sites where you can price your own supply only windows and doors. Then labour to fit, though not difficult to do your self. Though the pros are so quick just pay someone

When I had mine done they count each angle on the bays as a separate window when they price it up...came to quite a tidy sum all in...5 windows per bay I had!!!!

One thing I would say is (in London) the acoustic glass is well worth the money....definitely tell the difference vs the normal glass.

I had 7 windows, front door, and a set of patios fitted in January.

Coloured windows, with diamond lead on 5, was on prices from 9 months previous, probably dearer now.
The lead pattern added about 80 a window iirc.

No change from 6k.

That looks like one of my squats, I had a one man band double glazing guy in to fit seven windows and two doors (that included a bay window very similar) That came to 5k fitted plus the vodka and tonic.

Someone has all but been squatting in it. Was chatting to the neighbours and they reckon there might be a bonus in the loft , they reckon he had been growing stuff up there

Think I got the London price...I had 11 windows and didn't get change from £15k. I did spec acoustic glass....and it was a fancy company (named after a mountain!). Mine also needed a load of corner supports too....have to say they are impressive windows. They have equal line of sight...openers have inner steel frames etc.

Luckily I wasn't paying the bill....needed new windows because my neighbour drove her car into my living room!

Technically she didn't destroy the window...she drove into the car that was parked on my drive (the mr2 I'd just refurbished!)....and that destroyed the window. The insurer was a total nightmare of course!

Windows in our new build bungalow. 12 windows including large sliding glass door and an L shaped corner of glass were £11k (2 years ago.)

Luckily I wasn't paying the bill....needed new windows because my neighbour drove her car into my living room!

Back in the 90's a guy I worked with had a runaway car push his front door into his hallway, one of the companies he approached for quotes was the original supplier and they offered to supply and fit a new one for free if they could have the old one for their showroom to demonstrate how secure they were as even a car hitting it had not broke the hinges or locks!

Bloke I know had a load of auto opening roof lights etc fitted gratis on the condition the company beginning with V could do a video and use it as a show home.
