Ball joint taper angle

Of course could make the tool to cut the new taper.
Did the same last year for a local Toyota tuners, Ford hubs to accept Nissan ball joints, unfortunately ive forgot what the taper was but 7.5 degrees rings a bell.

Original intention was to bore in on the lathe but no way of holding with lugs protruding and clearances.

Make how? Grind hss?

I want to re-taper some hubs for a different balljoint , but im not sure what reamer to get,
Any ideas on working it out? the balljoint i want to use go's from 14mm at the small end to about 17mm where i want it to sit 15mm down the taper.

I need to do the same mod, LDV ball joints into Winget dumper hubs.

I will probable have one here we used to get the scrap tooling from quinton hazell and they used to throw loads out, taps drills, reamers etc etc some still with grease wrap on !
