Good morning peeps.
Im about to get off the Karcher bandwagon as another one has crapped out on me, and Ive only just cleared the "useful" spares accumulation of Karcher carcasses from years gone by, from the shed. Went for the cheapest fix........unsuccessful so time to get out.
Browsing on here this morning with Kranzle and AVA being recommended. I cannot justify the Kranzle for my use, but looking at Ava which is more my price range, but the warranty seems like a bit of a gimmick?
A quick scan on the web shows the need to service it every 5years, to keep the warranty rolling with servicing parts purchased from AVA (circa £35), no authorised servicing required, DIY is acceptable Im reading? Im assuming its based on the items purchased and not the whole unit itself? As we know with the well known yellow brand its the pump etc which normally takes early retirement, and then 90% of the unit is just landfill, seems a shame but that's the way they want it if they keep engineering out reliability I suppose.
So back to the AVA, anyone had any call to use the warranty? They appear to have been only widely available in the UK for less than 5 years, so its might be early days for tales of horror regarding claims etc.
Cheers
