i got a nice new water pump for 20 quid a few quality pairs of snips for 7.50 each . there was a lot of engineering gear going real cheap but allready have it. someone was selling a half decent fobco drill he wanted 300 quid for it me bruv said good luck with the sale no chance

Got a Tyre inflator thing £12 brand new in the box £30 in screw fix, Camping lantern for £4.
LED trailer marker and number plate lights, all Britax £1-2 each, Indespension Jockey wheel brand new £20 they are £61 + Vat new!
Nice York vice on a swivel £10
I did see the £300 Fobco but it looks like he sold it.
Sadly no Honda XL or Series 2A bits

from 2019

just looked in shed I have 18 pairs of snips and 6 sets of pliers got them all real cheap from autojumble over a year . just as well because they have dried up and never see them now

and from 2016

lol I have 20 pairs of snips and 14 pairs- of pliers made by Elliot lucas identical to knipex 8 quid a pair and just as good- ive leant that there not there for long so u have-- to go for it

but why so many, think its a case of being a hoarder.

no its just im not paying 30 quid for knipex snips when the elliot lucas ones are just as good for 7 and a half quid i only get a year out of em before they slightly loose the edge then give em away sometimes . they get blown up after a few days and get a nick in them or catch a hardened clip nail then just bin them

It's so difficult to say been to Newark a two and a half hour drive and bought nothing merebrow near Southport is the only northwest one left it's small but Very mixed Stratford today was a nice Venu but basically full of pensioners going for a prelunch ride out. Very few people actually carrying purchases. Rufforth is the nearest to the north west. But online has killed it really you still get the odd person who is clearing out but not often.

Some nice pre war projects for sale.
Quite a few people just clearing out.
Only one tool seller, the Nice family who used to do it with Babys who are now teens, alway great service and good value especially the stainless bolts, always at Rufforth.
Bought a 1964 traders licence for the garage wall just need a red and white trade plate to go with it.
Some very nice Facom Circlip pliers
A Gordon Adjustable spanner for my Vintage Gordon tool chest.
Winchboy bought some lighting for the workshop
Its a long way for us so expensive but I think we would go again.

Hi,

I've been attending Rufforth Auto Jumble for years weather permitting but no longer bother; it seemed to be in decline with so many stalls unoccupied; the site too is badly run down. It's a shame because I've bought lots of goodies from Rufforth over the years but now I simply buy online. My favourite stalls have gone; the stall in the hanger selling steel and plastic bar stock etc always cheaper than the other stall which still remains; the screw stall outside where I've bought thousands of screws and the lady selling the plastic boxes isn't always on site to mention a few. Covid certainly won't have helped but before Covid it seemed in decline which is a shame; it used to be a good morning out buying urgent items I didn't know I needed.

its nowhere near as good as it used to be but theres still some good scoops top be had at give away prices just be there real early beat the dealers
