I had never welded before, and the person I was with was very experienced. He did not explain the helmet to me and assured me that it was working properly. I was able to comfortably look at the weld from a close distance for several minutes. I later found out the battery was dead. i was in a shade 3 and I believe he was MIG welding alumminum. It has been over a month and I have headaches, eye pain, redness and difficulty with focusing. I dont think I have any vision changes, but my Ocular pressure is high.
I have been to multiple eye doctors, and I think since they see bad flash burns, it wasn't taken seriously at first. Everyone says it should be better in two days. I had initial improvement in a couple of days, but then I keep getting flare ups and not getting better.
Anyone know what else I should do? Will it get better? I have a hard time finding anyone else who has done this, but if you have or know someone please let me know.
Thank you
