Auto trader how to contact sellers?

I've spotted a cou7ple of cars I like the look of.
But cant findo ut how to contact the seller. it says sellers number protected, I call the number on the ad and get some poor woman who has no idea what i'm talking about.
How do I get hold of the seller?

Does it have the sellers name or are these private sellers on AT?

If traders it might have their name which you can google to contact them directly maybe!

Not sure if AT uses an indirect number on their site so they can track how much contact you have with the customer

I think one is a private seller, the number is obviously wrong and there is no email button

@chunkolini I would have to ask my brother how it works as he uses AT quite often

I think autotrader substitute the sellers actual number for a one they generate. Just click on the add and phone the number even though it looks odd.

Bought a car off Autotrader today, no problems with their alternative number system, but it was a dealer. I would contact Autotrader and see if they can sort it out.

Sounds like the seller has made a mistake when they gave autotrader their number. The one autotrader displays will just be redirected to the the sellers own phone.
