Hello.
I purchased a Jackson Predetor Auto-Darkening helmet but wont be using it for at least a few months as i dont have a welder yet
I remember someone on here telling me a while ago that if a auto helmet is left in the dark for to long, it can discharge and not work properly when its time to use it
Could someone please tell me the best way to store these auto helmets. Should i leave it in the window where it gets the sun all the time or will this over charge it? I was thinking maybe a few days in the window and a few days in the box/dark?
Also, i have left the protective clear plastic film on the front of the helmet on and only intend to remove it when i get round to using it. Is this ok or will the film have a negative effect on the lense whilst stored?
As you can imagain. My fear is that when i finally make contact with the welder for the first time, the helmet fails to react
Thanks for you help in advance.
