For 5mm drop at the edge it’s probably about 0.25mm at the hinge

Even a Defender's door adjustment is more precise than that!

The Discovery has one of the best fitting / adjustment systems Ive ever come across ,,,, wow , at last something landrover got spot on.
I had an a3 with a drivers door that was a smidge low , all I did was put a block of wood along the back bottom edge of the door , and put the trolley jack under it , couple of pumps and the thing was perfect and stayed that way ,,, only opened the door about six inches before jacking so the a post or the front edge of the door bent ,,, worth a try and its cheap and easy.

Hi, My only variation to that method is to hold the bottom of the door with my hands and lift, but I am a big chap. So Kim may have to use all her strengthes or find someone else.

I'm not that big a chap (oo-errr. . .) but that's exactly my technique and has been for 30 yrs.

Been amused to see it used on-line in various car plants around the world, as well has mallets, lump hammers, blocks of wood and very Aldi-looking crow-bars . . .

I've done it this way, not a lift but more of a jerk. Same as an impact gun will loosen a tight bolt better than steady pressure.

The advantage that using a jack over just twisting the door is control ,,, I worked in accident repair at one point in life , and you wouldnt believe how much you can change a door tops fit by just flexing it , or using a block of wood and closing the door on it too .... but for control go with the jack.

I dont know what the door pins are like on that but most are the hollow roll pin type, I wouldnt want to put too much leverage on the pins in case they shear off

Never seen one shear, the door is not that stiff, you should replace the role pin if it is worn.
A lot of newer cars seem to be solid pins again
Can remember changing Ford door pins on a regular basis there was a tool That did not last more than 3/4 uses we made up a solid pin with a shoulder welded to a bit of heavy bar you could hit with a BGH, a pet hate people not lubing door hinges, Fiat Doblo cargo rear doors always seize up no way to get oil in (drill hole at top of hinge pivot at angle 3 in one then when loose chain lube)
Thy get so tight can damage door
