Needs a water pump, any idea how much, its had a pressure test.
Approx how much should it cost?
Cheers.

Failed after 3 years? That's not very good.
...and also a good idea to change the thermostat at the same time if it's tucked away behind the belt. What can also happen is when the cambelt has been changed the extra tension will affect the water pump if it was replaced at the same time. The amount of labour to change the water pump is a little bit more than changing the belt which is why it's so common to replace it at the same time
I thought Schaeffler offered these?Tfsi engines are a complete fun engine.
Done one on a audi q3 and is a rear mounted water pump with a little belt drive on the gearbox end of the engine.
The belts are dealer (definitely fit a dealer belt)

He dPrice is £37 for a SKF up to £140 for a genuine one.
Loads of options inbetween.
Timing chain on that car but there is a separate belt driving the pump (£32 gen)
Also new coolant (£25)
I did a 2.0l one a while ago, pump on that was nearer £200!
£300-400 is not ridiculous. Maybe they mean £300 if it all goes smoothly or £400 if some of the bolts need drilling out...
