I had one in Alberta. '75 chevvy impala. My five and six years old sons could sit sideways on the back seat and there feet didn't touch. Bench seat in front too!I remember big old land yachts that had the filler cap behind the license plate.
You swung it down, opened the cap, and had to lay the nozzle sideways.
Waste not, want not.Why is that info no surprise, coming from a Scot.![]()
Beautiful picture, hope you dont mind i have saved it as there is an A30 in itMy dad had a part time job as a forecourt attendant in the late 60's early 70's, he would do the evening shift so my mum would send me round with some sandwiches for his tea. I remember there was a choice of 2, 3, 4 or 5 star (no diesel) and the dispensers for 2 stroke oil and Redex.
Old photo from a local history group, his "office" was the small shed like hut to the right of the petrol tanker.
