Argoshield Light weld integrity compromised

Please could someone explain just what is meant by 'compromised' in this statement from BOCs description of its properties, and how would I go about avoiding it, I would be very grateful for any pointers..

Specially formulated for MIG welding sheet and thin sections of mild steel less than 4mm thick
Can be used on mild steel sections thicker than 4mm but care must be taken to ensure the weld integrity is not compromised

It is only that a 5%CO2, 2%O2, balance Ar mix is recomended for sheet metalwork type thickness', once you start to go above 4mm you could really do with a gas with more
CO2 in it due to potential problems with lack of penetration/fusion etc

Thanks for the explanation BP, it's just that my MIG is good for 7mm which is about as thick as I occasionaly need, so almost double their specs.

Just wondered if there was a technique to avoid/lessen any effects..

Depends on what you are doing but to be honest I wouldn't have thought you would have a problem, just follow good practices ie, don't have your wire feed set too high and avoid weaving or travelling too slowly.
