Just hade my renewal from boc the same bottle ive had for 3 years i may add so im no power user but they want £80
i did speak to these people

With BOC you need an account, I have a couple of mates that have picked up bottles from ebay etc and i get them refilled for them, not strictly legal but

I use the W bottle as they are the most cost effective of them all, The X & Y bottles don't last very long.

Maybe someone near you can help out for a drink.

I've got a local welding supplier who is providing Gasman's Gas. It's quite cheap, especially for an amateur like me where you don't know consumption as it depends on time and projects.
I pay £33ish per refill, and I have a three year contract (that was very low cost) with a deposit on the bottle. I think it mounted up to the first bottle around £100. Sadly the bottles are small and not filled very much. I wear them out quite quickly, but it doesn't really matter as the guy delivers them quickly and a refill isn't very costly.
