I hope you test it with an insulation tester after and put a pat tester sticker on itI wouldn't be so doom and gloomy about a drop of water on the cases. Even if some got inside all they need is drying out or at the worst flushing out with de-ionised water and then drying out. When we are wire sawing in salt water I often have to jetwash the electrical gear with fresh water to stop us getting shocks off it.

I reckon the OP given his location should be able to arrange this

so you have no records on testing electrical products at work how does that work ??you will be well in the deep sh..it if anyone has an accident if nothings in placeNope, I plug it in and get one of the lads to try it out. Diamond drilling, concrete sawing, wire sawing, most of it is done outside and in all weathers - the gear is regularly soaking wet. Only sea water gives you any trouble because it's such a good conductor (compared to fresh). Can't tell you how many times I've dropped a 5" grinder from a sea water belt.
Hilti stuff with the 'smart' triggers doesn't like the jetwash treatment - it can throw a wobbly for a day or two. A spell in the drying room usually sorts it.
under your own words you said you just plug it in and get one of the lads to try it out post 29 so in reality its not the case
