Please be patient if this is a newbie question.
I am/was about to buy an electric drill, powerful jigsaw and angle grinder to replace the ones I've lost.
I've been given a top-notch DeWalt electric drill and Bosch Blue-line jigsaw... but they're 110v.
I was planning on buying the three from either DeWalt or Bosch Blue line
I could easily buy a transformer and a 110v angle grinder for less than I'd pay for the three in 240v. My workshop is 100a, 240v, single phase
But is 120v significantly 'weaker'? I'll be using them for steel fabrication.
When I google it I just find info saying that 110v is safer and is made up of two 55v phases which is greek to me.
Many thanks, as always for any help.
