Arc Welding Copper

This might be a stupid question

Can I use an arc welder to braze a copper joint using copper wire or is there a special type rod for welding/brazing copper. Would a 6013 work?

A bit of further research:

Copper has melting point of 1083 °C and Boiling Point - 2567 °C

6013 rod has melting point range of 1538 -1093 °C and Boiling Point - 2732 °C

Yikes, that's some high end rods but thanks for the info anyway.

copper had to be red hot with heating bands before it would even take
