I GOT A OLD ARC WELDER OXFORD RT110. OIL COOLER.
WANT TO DO A SERVICE (CHANGE OIL) ANY ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT OIL TO USE TO GET THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE WELDER.THANKS TO ALL YOUR ANSWER

transformer mineral oil will cost about 70 quid for 5 gallon , have u looked inside to see the condition of the oil ?? if its clean with no water or carbon contamination it will be ok there only half filled so dont think they need filling to the top as when the transformer is submerged the oil height rises

i'm a bit gutted really,i had the chance of a free oil cooled oxford cant remember what model but turned it down not knowing more about them,still,live and learn

it only has pcb in it that gives good cooling characteristics as have thousands of other transformers its ok to use its just not recomended to handle it with bare hands and is no longer used .mine has never leaked a drop in 40 years

i got a inverter superb (best money i spend on welding tools) but i got a oxford rt110 and want to do a service (changing oil) but don't with witch oil to fill the oxford!! info will be much appreciated thanks

Assuming it's the original oil it's non PCB - Diala B, I checked a few years ago when I bought an Oxford.
