arc or mig

i need to weld a u loop on a bike exhaust to keep the exhaust pipe in the cylinder head by a 10mm bolt through the loop i thin it must have been spot welded on originally what do i use i don't want to blow a hole through the pipe

The old CZ's had fairly sturdy front pipes but even so I think arc would be a bit risky, so my choice would be the MIG

Out of the two I'd use MIG, but even then you'd need to be careful.

Brazing might be worth considering if you can get the metal clean.
