Is Dundee still a used harbour for the rigs coming for refurb/mods? I have a few mates working in Glasgow I think, does subsea have a yard there building pipe spools its been a while since I have spoken to any of the, good luck with your search.

Aye pal they do, did actually speak to a boy who's running the referb for rig. And aye subsea 7 do have a small yard, maybe I should poke my head in ask

Re NVQ personally I am not a fan, City and Guilds, Btec etc are recognised all over the world.
Imagine you are a one man welder company, you have to build your corporate identity now, its about presenting your self in the best possible way, good Email address, well written simple CV with contact number and Email on it, listen to your answerphone and see if the message is what you want to hear?
Get you Linked in page up today and marked as looking for work you will get some fools but you have to suffer these until you get fixed up.
Get yourself known to the places you want a job at write to people not just Emails, look at industry and see whats going on and who is doing what

They’re always taking contractors on , especially with the Aussie boats and successor. That said I wouldn’t go back to that place for a gold plated pension
