Currently refreshing the rear underside of my car (2005 M3) and have stripped back under seal/paint/rust as necessary. I didn't go back to metal on the large flat sound areas and just cleaned/keyed the factory under seal.
I have applied a few coats of epoxy to the entire area, and now will be stone chipping and painting it.
For under seal, Do you bother to key the epoxy if it has been on the car a few days?
Would you apply high build primer to the stone chip or just go straight on with base coat? When I did the wheel wells 1 or 2 years ago I just sprayed the base onto the stone chip and then read others primed first. This worried me but it is all holding up so far.
Thanks
