If so, can you tell me whether the bottles fitted with the Integra valve (the one that saves you buying regulators, but you need a £40 connector for each different setting, available only from AP) have different flow rates?
I've changed from CO2 to Ferromax a while ago and was kindly given a connector by the dealer (because none of the regulators I have will fit these darn things). However, after having some problems with a new mig on it's lowest setting, we checked the output from the connector which was 8 L/min. The connector has no markings on, but it had been used when I was given it.
We then checked the output directly from the cylinder and that shows as 8 L/min also.
AP want over £40 for a new connector, available in 10, 12, or 15 L/min ratings but I fail to see that they will do any good if the cylinder only outputs 8 L/min. Their website was obviously built by a disgruntled employee on a revenge trip, so no answers there
So I would be truly grateful for any info on whether different rate bottles are used with different rate connectors for each, or whether I should go to BOC, and use my standard argon regulator (which will save me buying another regulator ).
