Anyone used these before?

I bought a small handful of these (22) for £5.49 , i'm up to trying different brands as long as they aren't chinese.

They are 4mm, a bit beefy for my welder, but i'm using them mainly for a tacking rod and a 'finishing/capping' rod as they burn down much slower than other diameters.

Oddly enough, when i pull away from the workpiece, the tip of the rod has a flame like a candle for a few seconds... I find that odd , but never the less,
has anyone else used these?

Have not used them myself but I have been up against them in sales in the past and they have a good reputation with plenty of repeat business from retailers.

Yep, you're right, green packet with a red dot on the label like a japanese flag.
They smell like burning paper when you lay 'em down
