I am just saying that good tools gets better results than cheapo tools! I agree that a good tradesman can do a decent job with cheap tools however it takes twice as long! Trust me on that! Repeatability, good finish and pride in your job cannot be achieved with b&q, wickes or toolstation china specials!
I also bet as a chippie or sparky turning out on a site for a quote with a clapped out old banana transit van you will get a lot of work! Trust me, in this day or age image is everything!
In a way I agree with some parts of that, but cheaper tools aren't necessarily always cheap quality. Plus, if we're going down the China route, most, if not all, of the large manufacturers make a lot of their stuff in the Far East these days. A tool should be judged on its quality & performance alone, not the name, price or country of manufacture.
