Anyone used Right Lines grinder accessories?.

Just been searching the net for 75mm cut off discs for my air cut off tool and came across Right Lines who seem to specialise in grinder consumables. Has anybody ever used them? and if so are there discs any good? There on Ebay too and have good feedback but I'm doubting the quality. For example. 100 115x1.2x22mm blades for £42+VAT seems way cheaper then everywhere else I've looked. And also 100 75x1.2x10mm discs for the cut off tool are £31+VAT everywhere else is over £1 each.

Is this just bulk ordering at work or are they just selling crap in bulk!

Just had a quick look at the site yep they are cheap indeed, 42pence each for slit disc, think im paying about 60pence. One of the things i have noticed about grinding and cutting disc is quality and durability.
In the past i have had sealey grinding disks, for a 7inch grinder. They had excellent removal rate of material, so quick to grind down a weld, but the disk used to disapear quick as well. Once had a black and decker disk, very slow material removal rate, but the disk would have lasted a lifetime as it didn't seem to wear down.
Personally i would guess at them beeing cheap and nasty but you don't know till you try.(what makes me think they are cheap is because they have paper labels stuck to them and every disk i have every had that had paper labels where never much good). If you do buy any off them danny let us know what they are like

If anyone comes accross disks called "Specialist" AVOID, they are total crap.

I saw them going cheap (around £1 for 9" & £2 for 14") in a local Stermat shop.

All the 14" disks did was make the steel I was trying to cut glow bright red but hardly left a mark on it let alone cut it. The 9" ones, the centre hole is nowhere near the centre so they vibrate so much I ended with my pants round my ankles. but you lot probably think

I always try and stick to branded discs, Klingspor, Garryson, Norton, 3m, Reca, Rhodius...

Avoid toolzone, silverline... and similar cheap brands. Not just the speed of cut to consider, cheaper ones often vibrate a lot more.


No idea how good the right lines ones are, but worth a try at £4 i think.

I wonder if this is one of them things where you think stuff is great, untill you use better stuff!
I might have to get a SF disc and try one out!

They are now Titan instead of Screwfix branded.

Always found tyrolit discs ok.
Apprently i was told its all down to the abrasiveness of the material used, and the best discs were a mixture of different grades of abrasive. So im guessing cheap ones would be a sinlge grade abrasive like 60 grit, there are other factors including the hardness of the abasive as well. Soft abrasive wears out to quick but always leaves a good cutting surface. To hard an abrasive and it won't wear away and leave a clean cutting face
