Those rasp style discs are pretty useless for wood. They clog up and go blunt and you can't sharpen them.

I have a mate that does chainsaw carving and he has tried all sorts of discs. The only ones that work properly and last are the arbortech ones.

They are not cheap but last well and can be sharpened.

You can get various styles of ones that take carbide inserts as well,
Saves sharpening and you can use a suitable edge geometry
