Anyone started using "Rocket TT" penetrating fluid?

IIRC Fizzy & I have used several cans of it to lube the big bandsaw blade & guide rollers. It was OK. Fizzy used it for all sorts of things .

il stick with atf and acetone got the oil free and ten quid for a gallon of acetone . use duck oil as well got it for 18 quid a gallon also acf50

I got some and so far been very impressed seems to be a lot better than WD40 , I googled the same and bought some as there was really rusty stuff on the digger where i couldnt use heat and freed it up

Interesting... I'm planning to remove and service the original fuel injectors from my 2014 Renault Master fairly soon... I might give Rocket TT a try in the week or two leading up to the main event.

The two best options in order are still
1) ATF 50:50 with Acetone and
2) neat diesel.

Acetone needs care around anything plastic or seals. I've got lots of acetone so perhaps should buy some atf to try it...

Interesting to read that it works quicker than BDX (the stuff I use) but is no better at releasing. I wonder how they achieve that?

Yes I ONLY buy it when it's on offer in Tesco - seems no better or worse than anything else really!
Very extensive test on various lubes here - well thought out - just ignore his shouty voice

One thing he says - time is the best asset - longer you leave it to soak the better.

Acetone ATF mix was pretty good - in fact not a great deal between any of them. Heat worked even better.

And another test - brake fluid worked better than WD40!

Warm it up or cool it down - get some relative movement between things, create some space, then it might help lube things so they move against each other easier.

(I think I'm still talking about rusted fasteners... )

Watch his videos - he really does go to great lengths - but yes you are generally correct.

heat stuff up and give it a tap with a hammer then use penetrating oil of any type you prefer then use a spanner or socket and bat it while your trying to unscrew it if that dont work its stuffed or probably snap

This is exactly my experience. Penetrating oil is not a magic wand. The only thing that works for me is heat and impact. As demonstrated every 2 mins in my you tube videos

I bought a early Sykes Pickovant induction heater 240v maybe 12yrs ago - which promptly let all the magic smoke out. Ebay seller had vanished. So bought a 110V version and so far...

Used it to heat up seized components, bearings and retaining collars for fitting, occasionally heating things to bend easier/neater.
