When I worked in a yacht marina in Singapore in a different life we had the issues of stainless/aluminium corrosion. A Kiwi yachtie came to work for us, and when it was mentioned he dug through our supplies of paints and found some etching primer, and at the bottom of unshaken tins was a thick yellow goop, zinc chromate, I think it was. We then put that on any dissimilar metal fixings that we installed and it stopped the corrosion. Thanks very much, not needing it for a Land Rover this time on a ship that has brass port holes screwed by stainless screws into an aluminium super structure. Hopefully this will slow some of the problems we have been having. We may be able to change the screws to brass but it all depends on classification approval.
I only worked there two years so not sure of the very long term.
