need to get a good view of a clean engine bay (with engine) as a mate is buying one sold unseen from Germany and wants to track it. need to know roughly how much space there is to play with a turbo from a cossie sierra

cheers guys. looks tight, but looks like it can be done.

it is arriving a week Tuesday and all we know at the moment is that is apparently has a solid chassis and body, no interior and engine is lumpy, no wheels and no brakes, exhaust is blowing a lot and there is no glass except the rear screen.

shall have to see how true this is when it gets here.

thanks for the pics, will let him know how tight it is and then he can decide if he can live with the 190bhp or if he wants more

im not a great fan of the bosch injector system either. had it on my xr3i...soon became and xr3 with some gsxr1300 carbs and pipercross filters. made it much easier to turbo that too

There's loadsa room a twin turbo straight six is a snug fit and a 5 litre V8 from an S class (same lump MB & Porsche stuffed into a w124) is a tight fit

that is a tight fit, I do like the straight 6 in there. don't think its within budget though lol. have around 400 quid to get the engine sorted, all the rest has to go on roll cage, suspension, brakes and so on

people in thailand put Toyota supra engines in 190's.
ive seen a skyline engine in the shape after the 190.

I had one!

Mine was a 2.3 with the Mosselman turbo kit fitted - similar to this one (old ad):

It pushed about 300 bhp - a bit up from stock

As the turbo hung straight off the end of No 1 cylinder (the one in the ad's pics was a little different & is set back to centre of the manifold), there was very little turbo-lag. It could get a bit hairy in the wet but was absolutely brilliant - go for it!!
