There's no real distinction between the two, really - I've got to call in at Frome at some time, which is about half-way there, anyway!
I live a very chaotic life, so it makes no real difference.

And every journey I make, is a "special trip"!

And another “very special” journey behind me!

The bloke’s place was in a new-fangled area, that doesn’t yet exist on the van GPS.
The guiding voice coming out of the dash, screwed me over & left me in a tiny dead-end, about 1.5 miles away. The ****e!

The stroppy guy with the dog-guard lives at no. 54, but by the time I found 53 & 55, I had to give in and ask someone.

“This place is downright odd” the person in the house tells me “I probably couldn’t find it myself, either!”
Not too promising, for someone who hates being late, and is calling on a, quite possibly, irritated e-bayer, who’s feeling a bit ripped-off!

Anyway, a few twists & turns aside, and I can tell I’m getting close - when I get a text from the seller, who I suspect has seen a stranger driving around, looking troubled.

I got there & he’s not in (phew!) but his other half is - a complete contrast to what I’d been half-expecting, too!

Got lost leaving, too, but some ancient, very welsh bloke going the other way realised, and did the “Not too far, boyo - just follow me!”
What a gent - he doesn't even know the fuel light is on, and I'm getting jittery

He turns his car round, and I’m now following him.

After about 10 mins, I begin to think he’s either lost, or even forgotten I’m following him - next minute, his arm comes out of the window pointing right, while he peels off to the left.

Then all of a sudden, a couple of minutes later, I’m seeing signs for Longleat! Victory, at last!

So I’ve escaped from the Labyrinth, without being eaten by the Minotaur!

I’ll courier it up tomorrow - it’ll seem quite un-eventful, after this afternoon’s adventure into the twilight zone - hopefully!

And this has even been edited slightly, as I met a total of 3 (reasonably sympathetic!) people within “the zone”, but my food is nearly ready, so you lucky folk are spared the rest!

Not at all - I suspect I'd only have broken something, if left un-supervised elsewhere, today!

I’m closer than Joe but @The_Yellow_Ardvark is even closer.

Yeah, Wozz would have been able to do it on foot - I have a mental picture of him (based on somthing on here, years back) casually running cross-country marathon-type runs up, down & around the hills of Wiltshire - and every time I go past Longleat, on the way to the A303 or A36, it comes back to me.

He must be a glutton for punishment, too - now I think about it - as I believe he does a postal round - but I just hope, for his sake, the round doesn't cover the road I was in, earlier!

@Wozzaaah - I can always PM you the road - just so that you can turn & run, if your round ever gets switched around to include it!

I wasn't able to break free until now, so couldn't get to a drop-off by noon, so it's not on a 24h option.

I'm feeling ill now, cos I've actually got an account with Hermes the Destroyers/losers/launchers of parcels.
I realise the guy at your end is ok, so I assume if it doesn't get mislaid, it should reach you.

Excuse the packaging - I'm not a pro at that!
The packaging might suggest that I mostly drink paraffin out of disposable cups (which I don't!) it was just the only cardboard I had!

It cost 3/5 of F/A to send, so don't worry about that - just buy yourself a contact tip, on me!

There are some fixings in there, too - now, don't feel insulted by this, but I'll stick a photo in the PM, just to show where they go!

The "record-breaking" number of steps just off screen is my biggest weekly average in about a year!

I'm in agony, too!
I'd be dead by 9am, if I had to do what you probably do most days!

I defy any man in this forum to have done more than that - possibly ever!

In my defense, I am getting on a bit!
