got an old bean tin with a bolt through the bottom and spin it in a drill , crude but works well

How about setting them in an ultrasonic tank ?
the water should conduct the waves thru the metal can to the paint ?

Stick it in the washer on fast spin!

Got a pop bottle, cut the bottom off. Shoved a cork in the pour hole. Stuck a bolt with washer through and nut with washer on the other side to compress it.
Place can in end of bottle, collect bolt to drill, have at it. Scrap build, not replaced it yet but easy to.

I found taking it in and handing it too the wife with the words "shake that for 2 minutes" .... 10 minutes later when i went back in she was still shaking it ... damn good effort

can't imagine just spinning/rotating the can alone (the drill video above) will do much to mix it ? even with the stop starts?

wiper motor is better, but would probably be better if it just rotated round instead of back and forth

don;t use enough spray cans to bother with either tbh
