I started this query in the 'Guilty Pleasures' thread with inadequate pics, so here again with more detail... Can anyone identify the plastic part which makes the body of this bird piece? Not a quiz..I really would like to know. Think it may be part of a vehicles interior trim, very thin fairly flexible plastic.
I feel sure one of you will recognise it (can't think of a better place to ask with the broad knowledge base of this grand forum )

Someone suggested a handbrake cover. Looks like one to me. They often are cheap and nasty, but I suspect a late 1980s or 1990s car for the real thin and cheap feel. Not sure which one though.

Don't suppose there are any markings anywhere?

Oh nice and quick! Thanks guys, I thought it looked like a hand-brake cover but nothing like the one in my Berlingo! Guess it would be from an older vehicle?
I'd really like to get hold of a similar piece as I'd like to make another version of Plas-tic-tockus (that being the title - Tockus being the Latin for the Hornbill family of birds) to go on the mirror image of the wooden part which I have. Anyone got a spare one? Doesn't have to be an exact match.
The size btw is approx 7" long and 3" at widest point.

No, no markings I could see (I'll check the inside later) and yes, cheap and nasty!
So anyone got an old one lying about they don't want? What I liked about this one was it had the feel of having not only a 'breastbone' but thighs and wing muscles as well so anything that was vaguely similar...

Back of the skull is a cycle pedal guard/toe clip thingy, still trying to work out the beak bit.

Hmmm, the beak's got me stumped, sort of looks familiar but I can't quite get there. Maybe seeing it from a different angle will help .
I'll still take first prize for early golf though but I'll share it with Sparkey cos she did say it looked like the one in her VW .
