If you can't pre-arrange anything stop being a girl 
and just go. It'll be fine. A mate mine never bothers about mere details like accomodation for this sort of thing. If all else fails he'll get drunk enough to sleep anywhere but i don't think it's ever come to that, someone always ending up feeling sorry for him and letting him share their tent/caravan/hotel room etc. I tried his method the other year when no rooms were available anywhere remotely nearby... turned up with a sleeping bag (back of the car was the back up plan) and ended up sleeping on the floor in someone elses hotel room. Didn't have the front to turn upto dinner in the hotel restaurant but as breakfast was a buffet type deal i just sauntered in with everyone else and sat down...

Too right. Made sure i picked a nice big estate car just in case. If i'd been driving something Mini or Beetle sized then i'd prefer the back of flatbed/pick upIf it comes to roughing it and there's no showers or the like at the circuit there's bound to something nearby to freshen up after a propperly messy night. Used to pop into town and use the bathrooms at M&S or the like at rod runs/festivals etc
Done my fair share of roughing it on my travels around the race tracks of Europe on a bike !
Once cadged a share in a couples tent on a trip to the Bol 'Dor at Paul Ricard. Was all going well until I paid the price for eating half a pound of grapes and drinking a quantity of beer during the evening !! The resulting reaction was quite volatile and caused my rapid exit from the tent in the early hours to avoid an unpleasant accident, I didn't make it !!

I think it makes for an interesting break as well as you haven't a clue what will happen.

Mate of mine is always at the ring with the VR4 owners club, just mailed him for possible gasthuses and things, he will be back to me this afternoon....

I tend not to repeat the same mistake twice ! The grief didn't end with that though, I ran through the hot ash of the previous evenings camp fire, that hurt !!
