Anyone Know about Renaults ?

Not had a look at it today had to do some paid work.

Have looked on fleabay at one of these will this do the job?

i doubt it a lot of readers state won't work on vans reno's there own software is clip about £4000ish
copys £300ish from china but not advised

all that reader will do is say no fault found i had one gave it to son works on his corsa petrol didn't work on my rover diesel as it's 2000 so not eob2 compatible cost me £100 for a Sykes pickavant one and the pods for that to work all the readers seem to have links to pdfs on what they will work on non i looked at even list reno loads of yanks though if you pull the injectors do not mix them up as they are coded to each cylinder so mark them up

CAN Clip copies can be bought more cheaply than £300
There is generally no problem using copied devices. Perhaps not upto the job of coding new modules but they will read DTC's until the cows come home.

There are other options out there, an Autel EU702 will do certain renault vehicles with the correct software, have a look at them.
Also if your van is fairly new it may well be EOBD compliant anyway. It was 2004 for diesel cars, but lots of manufacturers made their entire range compliant.

Can you get any pictures of the circlip /gears cogs etc I may be able to advise better if I can see, It might help Jog my memory (I see that many engines) a good excuse for old age HA

Yeah will try, funny tho I left the circlip on the table and it disappeared overnight ??

if you read most of the adverts into the small print most say don't do vans
no idea why as diesel cars after 2004 are compliant but vans are not it seems
in some cases but it covers them if it won't work
