Happy to send you some eggs!We had Welsummers and Buff Orpingtons a few years ago, lovely chickens. We would love to get some more, we have an incubator

Happy to send you some eggs!
We get a 15kg bag of layers pellets for £9.99 & that coupled with scraps/leftovers keeps them well fed.
Oh and they are murderous wee things also
Its not that unusual to spot one chicken sprinting across the garden with a mouse/frog/worm/baby bird in its beak being chased by the rest of the flock
NEVER think they are vegetarians
u eat dirt when u die so a bit now wont harm uMany people would probably give up eggs if they saw what free roaming chickens get up to. They will even have a good look through dog muck. I've had them get in the piles of stuff slept up in the workshop, they scrat it everywhere and always seem to find something to eat.
We seen them eat mice and frogs too. They love a good ant nest or some maggots too.
Frogs make a horrendous squealing noise when being attacked by chickens! I’ve rescued quite a few from ours when we had them...Oh and they are murderous wee things also

Twenty six eggs from our flock set eleven days ago. Candled them last night (the ones you can, brown and green/blue ones you cannae see through) and looks like all are fertile and developing. Was expecting about 50% so erm, going to have to figure out a larger brooder in the next ten days...
@maz0 those are some lovely birds . If you are ever in a position where you want to sell or swap some eggs for incubating then I’d be very interested.

Excellent same here. Not into cash but just like having a mix of birds and egg colours. Our cock is white so his input into chicks is noticed but as you see the hens are a mix of egg colours and sizes so hoping for a good mix of chicks. This is Willy’s first brood but the hen who lays the green/blue eggs has chicked before. The other girls are all new in terms of breeding but he’s been treading them and they’ve been up for it so it will be fun to see what comes out the other side.Definitely, we just got a bunch hatched out the incubator last week and have now loaned it to my brother for a round of eggs but next time will give you a shout. If you want any just give me a shout and I can post you some, not interested in money though, swaps would be great

That’s why his name is Willy.......................................... MUST.............. RESIST........URGE............. DON'T........POST.......... SMUTTY INNUENDO.................. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !
wouldn’t have them within 50M of house though. Too much noise and unwanted pear attention.
