I am trying to book an engine in for rebuild at Car Clinic but getting no answer on the telephone, nor to my emails. I wonder if there is anyone close who could peer in to see if they are still running please?
I have a Cologne 2.8 with stuck inlet valve, corroded bore and damaged piston to sort. I could do it myself but would far rather get it done by these people. There is another company in Essex but I keep hearing horror stories about them. It gives you no faith when they try to claim that your engine warranty is void unless you take the car to them for first service. Sounds like a "get out" clause to me and is not legal, even to suggest it.
The car has been laid up for 12 years and I suspect has had a coolant leak into this cylinder. I have never seen such a rusty valve before!
