Anyone ID this brass fitting?

Got this I need to replicate,




I imagine it's a standard fitting that's been modified, The center hex is 12mm a/f

Looking at the first photo,
Left side seems to be a 7/16"-20 thread.
Bore is 4.98mm.
That would be about right for a brake line fitting for 3/16" pipe.

Right hand side seems to be M12×1.5mm thread.
I'm guessing this end has been machined off to create the flat end although maybe not as there are no machine marks on it.

Now, the odd bit, the right/flat end has been drilled & tapped to m5.
So the hole on that end must have been 4mm or so to start with.

Anyone recognise it?

What angle is the taper on the imperial end? It looks a bit shallow but does it fit JIC pattern?

It could be a jic 07, I'll measure the angle tomorrow

1/4" flare to 1/4" (prob bsp)
looks like an access port for refrigeration, but a bit short
normally 11mm for the brass nut

That looks very similar to the lubrication line fittings used on my Hitachi Seiki lathe. Tapered end screws into the distribution blocks. The ones I use are made by Showa, same company makes motorbike suspension parts, so obviously know something about fluid flow! Metering of oil flow done with different size orifices, so if you only need a tiny amount of oil metered, it has a really small hole. Almost impossible to find, so probably why someone wants it replicated. Some of them have a very fine filter in them that clogs up with a kind of varnish over the years. Even ultrasonic cleaning wouldn’t unblock some of mine. That threaded side on the sample may have been where the filter originally was.

The small threaded hole has a nice raised burr around it, suggesting it is of non-OEM manufacture.

If we could identify the angle of the taper on the end of the fitting, would that narrow it down? Does a flared pipe use a different taper to that in the bottom of a manifold block?
