Anyone got empty trailer space headed north?

Bit of a long title, but pretty much what it says.

Following cheb's generous offer of dropping stuff off on a trip down south thought I'd try see if anyone has a space going from Southampton to Ayrshire direction?

Recon about £250 in diesel if anyone's interested?

Dimensions are 1m wide, 2.17m long, 1.5m tall. Guessing 750kg

I'm planning a trip in the next few weeks but if anyone fancies a bit of extra cash and saving me a 16 hour drive let me know

I could possibly collect it and get back to mine in Surrey, could then strap it to a pallet and send it. Has to be cheaper and better than travelling down.

Ooh, I like this idea! I did look into pallet shipping it when I got the dimensions, but it's a bit more than the museum would like to do. Fair enough, was never offered in the auction.

Had previously messaged @fizzy and he said it should be possible to fit the tail lift and be doable if properly palletised, I don't doubt your palleting abilities for one second
Not sure if I need a forklift this end though?

Looks like its only about two miles from a contract we are on so no problem to collect. I can knock up a crate for it and there is a forklift my end to load whatever turns up to collect it. Down to @chrisg3103 to sort out the rest with @fizzy

I just put a tape over it and the dimensions in Chris`s first post are about right.

Could you be more specific please? Petrol? Diesel? LPG? Electric? Long or short tine? With sideshift or without? Low height? Veteran? Vintage? Never been raced or rallied? One careful lady owner( 8ob) . This is 8ob after all

You can sometimes collect from the distribution depot, they will have a forklift. That or get it delivered to someone locally that does have a forklift.

If the delivery depot were willing to load on my trailer could pickup, probably closer than Southampton.

It will make life much easier. The way it is being palletised means it is too big for a tail lift.
And yes the local delivery depot can load onto a trailer if you wish.
