Anyone got a reccomendation for a electroplating company?

Just restoring a old tractor and was originally just going to but new wheel nuts etc but now I've priced it all it's several hundred pounds by the time you get all the pins and clips etc for the linkage

Anyone know of a firm doing this? Around mid/south Wales would be ideal so I can drop them off but I'm assuming there's not many places Nationwide doing this so local to me may be a bit much to ask

Also would they be bothered by paint on some parts? Previous owner has painted some parts that should be plated-is it dip them in acid before plating same as galvanising?

Who’s the chrome plating company in brum that’s not long dumped a few ton of cyanide in the canal killing everything for around 12 miles so far??

Derby plating have a decent reputation around here.

Also would they be bothered by paint on some parts?

Some may offer a paint stripping service you would have to ask, it won't be free as I'm sure it isn't removed as part of the normal process like surface rust.

Derby Plating, although it is years since I used them. Not the cheapest but certainly one of the best.
If you are talking ~£200 for new then maybe cheaper to buy new.

You'll need to speak to the plant to see how clean the parts need to be. The place I used said they can strip paint using DCM (paint stripper) but they charge extra for it. They electrolytically clean the parts before plating and there is a short acid dip designed to etch the metal but it won't any serious rust and acid won't remove paint or grime.
