I'm trying to sort the lights on our MF690 2wd. When you press the switch for the rear plough/work lights it operates 2 relays that just switch off the front & rear side lights! The work lights are fed directly from the switch with no relays!
This doesn't seem correct to me, surely the work lights should be fed from the relays & not the side lights. There is evidence of some rewiring butchery in the past but all the relay wiring has the correct colours with oe type rubber covered crimp terminals & looks original.
So can someone please check if their tractor does the same? (side lights go off when plough lights go on) All 600 series should be the same.
I was working on the front cab mounted spotlights tonight & it looks like they were wired by Ray Charles & Stevie Wonder. It was such a mess I'm having to fit new lights & run all new wiring to them.
