Been clearing brambles & scrub at Mother in laws place for two weeks, been scratched al over, no real way to avoid it. Yesterday doing the last patch of brambles got a rose scratch on my right forearm. Woke up at 5 this morning & thought "That feels hot" had a look "Aaah sheet i know what that is!"
Off to the doctors who agreed i had had it again after a break of some years. Cellulitis, probably the tenth time over the last 30 years. Now on antibiotics.
So if you get scratched, pricked, bitten by thorns, metal, wire, horseflies, mosquitos, whatever, watch it. If it feels hot & swells chances are you have cellulitis.
It can get serious so dont leave it.
