Anyone Else in to Internet Radio?

DAB where I am is only really anygood for BBC channels (think they have stronger signal?)

R4 or WorldService for me.

Have played with internet radio - it works OK.

Wifey into "podcasts" in a big way - she streams them from her phone to a Bluetooth TV Yamaha SR-C20A sound bar I have fitted on top the kitchen units (fitted means layed on the top and plugged into 13pin plug the cooker extractor fan in plugged into)- soundbar has a remote control so she can control the vol'

When I have new TV at home - I am gonna use the old soundbar in my garage at home - to do the same.

Here is another one I often have on in the background; Global breakfast radio.
This app plays a local radio station where the sun is currently rising and it changes stations automatically every few minutes.

Did anyone ever listen to a programme syndicated on US NPR called "Car Talk", presented by "Click and Clack - The Tappets Brothers"?

It involved two crazy American-Italian brothers who would take calls on air from people with car problems. However, the two guys were born comedians and managed to raise a damn good laugh out of every query, while still giving really good advice.

Unfortunately, one of them passed away, and NPR continued to repeat the old shows for some years, but it's now off the air.

Yeah, they'd been going a long time before I discovered them on satellite radio in about 1995 or so. They came in via WRN, iirc.
Nowadays I fire this website up https://www.internet-radio.com/
Loads of choice, but it's usually for some ambient nonsense.

I use BBC sounds, 4 extra being good , also another vote for Radio Garden
When I used to work in the deep south I used to listen to Radio Scotland in the car using BBC sounds on my phone , but added a few mins buffering to allow for the variable 4g mobile signal - confused the hell out of any passengers.

I used to listen to nick Ferrari on LBC then switch over to talk radio at 10:00.01am but now I just leave talk radio on as I simply don't want to risk hearing even a second of James O'Brien! Also if I'm up a scaffold or on a roof it was becoming a safety concern rushing down ladders to change stations!
