If a job spec calls for a filler wire with that much silicon content, I doubt you could subsitute it for a Magnesium based filler wire. I have used that wire before (on repairing an old racing car body shell) it seemed to weld fine, just treated it like 4043 (5% Si). Let us know how you get on.....
