What do you think of the mail from Hobart stating about damage to the inverter?
Im still thinking about biting the bullet, you only live once, and just buying it. If I nuke my inverter, it will give me an excuse to save up for a 'Real' Tig welding machine
The HF could damage the inverter. The box should have caps to filter oyt feeding it back to the inverter. The main issue is stray arcs if the inverter has poor isolation.
Considering the huge spikes caused by arc welding (any welding), it should be able to handle the box.

Clarke seems to be a good known brand, not some cheapy unknown chinese tat, so I have a fair bit of confidence that it will survive.
I think I will go for it. I will let you know how I get on with it.
