Just read your review of your STAHLWERK tig set I'm just writing to see if you are still happy with it?.
finally an update on the Stahlwerk , apologies for not updating sooner ,and apologies to Stahlwerk for possibly putting someone off buying one of their welders . i returned the welder via a courier they arranged and paid for ..... happy enough with that arrangement ... they contacted me to say it had arrived , and that they were testing it ,but could i explain in more detail what the problem was ,i sent a video of the problem , they tested it for a week and couldn't find anything wrong , they sent a video of it working , it included the serial number to show it was my machine , they tested it again and still no problem so they sent it back ....... i set it up and ,,,,,,, it didn't work properly ...
Before i had chance to contact them ,they had emailed me for an update and included a direct contact email for the technician that worked on it and if i had any problems to contact him directly .
I sent him the video i had made , explained the problem was still there and could he suggest anything that would cause the problems i was having .... and here is where the only thing wrong with Stahlwerk surfaced , they hadn't shown the technician my video , simply explained my problem to him .
i've been building an extension at home so didn't get round to trying his suggestion until today but i now have a perfectly good welder again , i just need to blow some cobwebs off myself and get back into it .
Bear in mind i've tried every grade of tungsten , a new earth lead , a different gun and another pedal and you will understand why i owe them an apology ....... Ferkin contaminated gas , not their problem at all .
As a company to deal with i must say they are excellent , communication is second to none ,and their after sales service is outstanding .
I don't work for them ,and i have no connection with them apart from being a customer .... a happy customer !
