Not that kind of customer unfortunately. Good people and I have no issue helping them out. No comeback at all as long as it’s to those specificationsI'd be going back to the customer and ask them for their preferred paint supplier and then go ask them.
Anythings else and who gets the blame when someone decides it's not good enough . . .
I would imagine it’s an order from an overseas customer. Seems a bit redundant in my book seeing everything is certified 316ss….no cert and you cannot use itAre they painting the stainless?
That's not a proper specification, you should be given a standard (eg C5) and an expected life to first maintenance say 15 or 20 years.
From that any industrial paint supplier will provide a system that will meet the specification.
It will also include , acceptable salt levels, surface prep and cleanliness etc. (probably sa2.5)
There are many ways to achieve the spec, but what they have asked for sounds like a system they are used to and happy with.
I'd guess it's an International (PPG) system but all the big boys will have something that complies.
Unless environment has chlorine, weak acids, or lack of oxygen. Then you need a paint system on even the most exotic materials.I would imagine it’s an order from an overseas customer. Seems a bit redundant in my book seeing everything is certified 316ss….no cert and you cannot use it
