Anybody having Ipad problems since last update 11.2.5?

I have dutifully updated my Ipad mini as all the software security experts tell you to do.
Since the last update (12.2.5) I have been having problems after charging. I’m getting the low battery symbol despite the Ipad being charged overnight.
The standard Apple advice is to press the home button & the power off buttons simultaneously for at least 45 secs. So far this has worked but not this morning. Despite numerous repeats of the procedure unable to get the apple logo to appear.
After searching the net it would appear I am not the only person having this issue & problem seems to be linked to the software sensing the battery voltage wrongly following the latest software update.
Incredulous as it may seem, the workaround is to use the missus hairdryer. By gently warming the base of the Ipad & thereby the components inside the Ipad will then reboot as normal.

So if you’re having problems with your Ipad time to sweetheart your missus hairdryer.

Yep, I have had the low battery thing a couple of times. It’s come good so far, handy to know about the hair drier thing. Surely apple will issue a fix

Yes, hopefully the next update will sort things out.
I presume warming the Ipad up just lifts the battery output voltage to a point where the software recognises its charged.

Been having battery troubles with my MacBook air since the last update too, must be a similar thing.

Sadly becoming typical of apple

Everything tested in California with warm temperatures and a massively fast internet connection

Try it in scotland where it is cold and slow internet it fails hugely

I’ve not had any problems after charging but I can not connect to the printer or amazon tv since 11.2.5, I haven’t looked for a fix yet as I get too irritated trying to figure these things out. As a temporary solution I can use Mrs pond frogs iPad as she hasn’t updated.

Not had the printer problem, can’t comment on the Amazon Tv as I don’t use it.

Dont know if its connected but put my Sony experia to bed last night with 65% batt...woke up this morning with the phone dead and wont take a charge, after a 2 min Google read i had to "force start" the bugger with button combination and now its running slow Might have been a corrupt update through the night i dont know

I don't think its because the updates are not checked, i got annoyed with apple because they disown older hardware or worse issue an update that slows down or otherwise interferes with your stuff. I had an iphone 4 which was great, never caused me a minutes trouble, updated it as per the instructions that pop up on the screen, and it became useless and unreliable.

I uploaded the update that was supposed to make it easier to use if you have fat cold fingers, cant say it made much difference other than moving a load of functions about so I cant find them

Think I might of found another issue, I clicked on a link to something on Facebook from this forum and I went to my home page. Not had that before
