Good around window reveals and stuff.I've also discovered aerogel recently...very expensive but a 15mm sheet is similar I think to 75mm+ of regular insulation...handy when needed.
whats the thoughts on open cell foam sprayed internally , a guy I was speaking thought it was a good idea on an older property, I know about the horror stories of the botched roofs and so on with closed cell spray. This seems interesting, and I am also mid total renovation of a stone house.Stone buildings require a very different approach to vapour management.
From what I've read you "can" have an impervious inner insulation wall if there's a vented cavity to allow the stone to breath. But internal moisture levels need to be managed...maybe with an mvhr.
It's so complex I think I'll probably consult an expert before I do anything....I'm still a few months away from it being a problem I have to fix!
Google say..be warywhats the thoughts on open cell foam sprayed internally , a guy I was speaking thought it was a good idea on an older property, I know about the horror stories of the botched roofs and so on with closed cell spray. Whenever I hear about a quick fix my first thought is...if it doesn't work then how difficult would it be to remove?whats the thoughts on open cell foam sprayed internally
