Any wood botherers like a little job?

'Er indoors has been collecting more clutter. This is apparently an Edwardian child's chair and it appears to be in reasonable nick, (she claims to have been given it ). Anyway she is complaing that she is short of a couple of knobs ( ) and was looking at Ebay for some replacements, as if!
The holes appear to be 1/4" ish and are drilled all the way through the arms.

Diameter 24mm, height 24mm, pedestal is 6mm thick, taper up is in the region of 30 degrees and the neck is 20mm diameter.

Could anyone turn me a couple please, ideally in a mahogany?

If you fire off the dimensions I could have a crack at it. I don't have any mahogany but I have some offcuts of sepele which would be a good stand in. Failing that, pretty sure I could find a chunk of mahogany if that was a dealbreaker.

It will make a right mess of my (metal) lathe so if a genuine woodbotherer would like to take this on, I'm happy to step aside. On a positive note, it is well past time I gave the lathe a decent clean/tidy up anyway...

That is a very logical thought. I just took her word that it was knobs missing, but what would they be doing there in the first place. It would also explain why the holes are not blind possibly.
