Trying to buy a book for my other half's pa. He drove a "little grey fergie" when he was little-ish. I found some books on t'internet, but some places talk about a T20 and others a TE20 ... does it make any odds?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferguson_TE20
Going by wikipedia, TE stands for Tractor England, there was also TO for Tractor Overseas.
It also says TE20 was commonly known as "Little Grey Fergie" so I guess that would be the right one.
Oops! Just found this in the forum rules - "Avoid chatter and jokes outside the members forums. If you can't resist posting a witty insight please also include a couple of lines related to the original topic."
My old TEA used to be my pride and joy but it now needs a lot of work doing so it is now sitting on the back burner while I decide whether to do a nuts 'n' bolts rebuild or another grease up and hope job.
Starting with T20 it goes on and on: T20 TE20 TEA20 TED20 TEF20 . All are different versions of the same tractor: Age, engine type etc. Have a look at "www.old20.com" for lots of info. Sorry but I do not know how to add the direct link to theis website - maybe someone can advise!!!!
Hi Malcolm, These people should help http://www.fofh.co.uk/shop.htm but theres loads of Ferguson books about, there all the same tractor except for the different models.
Thanks all. That book ^ looks good. I was thinking of this one
Amazon calls it "T20" but cover pic shows "TE20", not exactly unusual for them to muck their details up though.
If it's the same thing T/TE etc then all's good.
