Any tips for TIG Welding Fish mouth joints?

Is that first row, left hand tube out of alignment, deliberate or barrel distortion on the lens?

On fishmount joints i usually tack in 4 places and then weld the outside of the joint and then do the fillets after.

Not sure exactly where you mean but all peices have been made and welded to within 0.5mm, the front cross peice/bumper is mouted higher if that what you mean?
