I bought myself a beepie digital level a few months ago and it's been fantastic - very consistent for not much money.
At the weekend I was holding down what I thought was the "light" button (wasn't paying attention) and it turns out it was the sodding recalibrate button. So it set itself to zero on the plane it was sat on.
On the assumption that our house extension is relatively recent (so hopefully level ) I put it on that to get a better zero and it seems OK to the eye but, of course, I now have no idea whether that is "true level" or not.
And yes, I've taken the batteries out and the clever little toad remembers it's previous "calibration".
Any thoughts on where I could find a true level that I can recalibrate it to?
